I always find it amusing when kids who are relatively new argue about stuff with people who have been involved with it for 8-10+ years.

Look I see a lot of people complaining about FPS. When I was in the states I had issues with it as well. Over here basically anything from 550 and below is CQB. Granted I wear enough head gear to look like a space marine reentering head first, but the fact is if your community is use to it 550 isn't a issue, and it sure as hell doesn't invite retaliation. That is the same thought process for banning guns in the US and that wont work. Cheaters cause retaliation, and because FPS is such a firm rule in the US people get angry. If you are a adult, wear your protective gear, and don't cheat FPS will never be a problem, besides our "CQB" fps in the US pretty much mimic European regulations.... smells fishy to me but hey, I got use to being hit hard, and fast.

I've been shot in the face 7 times from about 5 feet away. My face was covered in blood. Then we went and got ice cream.

I forgot what the point of this was. Something retarded Iceprick said, I think.

A couple case in points for the fps regulators…

These examples are both from OP Sundown, which recently took place.

Desh, a friend of mine snuck up to the window of a building in the village and did a safety kill on one of the guys inside and shot the other two with his pistol. The guy he safety killed freaked out because he was so surprised and whirled around and shot Desh in the face. Thankfully on one bb hit Desh in the face…otherwise his mom probably wouldn’t let him play again. Several guys at the war can testify to the nasty result…

I was behind a tree, attacking the sandbag missile bunker, and dove out to try and grab a grenade which hadn’t gone where I wanted it. I was hit in both sides of my head…one from the guy in the bunker and the other from the guy behind me trying to hit the guy in the bunker. I wasn’t more than 20/25ft away from either of them. Only one of the hits bled, but if he had been shooting a higher fps at that distance, it certainly would have been far worse.

As I said before in this thread. When things get above 450fps the game starts to get "iffy"

The world doesn't end at 400fps.

As a matter of fact I've always liked the idea of running 500Fps+ games. Low caps only. Would make for some nice milsim.

I just don't like the idea of some one running a 600fps gun and a 14volt lipo or some other demonic set up, then showing up and terrorizing the field with it.

Set a rule, what ever it may be, and stick with it. If its 500fps then let every who can show up with a 500fps gun. And let every one else know what they are getting them selves into. If you need to bring a 600fps gun just so you can out gun the 500fps people. Stay home. Because if you aren't willing to respect the rules of the field you probably lack enough character to call your hits, and be a team player. Not to mention you probably have ZERO respect for any other person on the field.

The problem is that your rules have to account for the lowest common denominator. You don't make rules for the skilled mil-sim players who practice great trigger control. You make rules for the trigger-happy retards. Hell, we wouldn't even need limits if everyone who played this game was intelligent. But unfortunately, there's a bunch of morons out there so we have to limit ourselves.

It boils down to this:

If you don't like the rules of an event don't go to that event. If you don't like the rules of a lot of the events, host your own. When you host your own, you can deal with it. Until then, go sit in a corner and shut up.

This.
You choose the event you play at. If you don't like the FPS rules. HOST YOUR OWN OR STAY HOME.

Respect FPS rules. They are in place for a reason, and if you don't like them. Pick a new field, or make a new field.
