Danner Melees

Anyone have experience with these?

I like that they're light weight, foot shaped and come in wide sizes. They also have special rubber made for fast roping, which will make a big difference in my life, 'cause I'm so high speed and what-not. I am concerned about their durability, however. My Striker's didn't last for shit.

These just came out. I don't know if you'll get any answers on their durability until people have worn them for a while.

I'm also really interested in these. The one thing that bothers me is that they're not made in the USA, which means we don't get the factory store discount here in the Portland area. *sigh*

My work will be footing the bill, fortunately. :D

I was really surprised to find out that my Strikers were made in China. Probably why they fell apart.

Well get a pair and tell me how they work out. I'm really interested in them.

I don't really think things made in the US are any better, they just tend to skimp less on the necessary amount of stitching and quality materials.

I'm interested too, I have only handled them, didn't have a chance to try them on.

Don't do it, you'll break your knee.

I picked them up today. Went with 6in in black (required for work). I'll take some pics tomorrow and start working on breaking them in.
