Would you happen to know where the grenade pouches would fit in( mid production, and the UTV set)?

The grenade pouch goes on the left side of the web gear , behind the AK pouch in the Early sets and in the UTV sets .

What design were NVA grenades anyway? I've got a couple of the pouches laying around, but no idea as to what should be going in them.

Everything from the East German version of the Soviet RGD-5 to the East German copy of the Bulgarian RGO-78.

Never seen a split top 4-cell pouch before. All the ones I have have one flap. Is the split top Fallschirmjaeger only or something?

Also, how did you mount the magazine pouch? The vest I have access to has a pouch identical to the one on the left side.

Yes , the split AK mag pouch is for FJ only , they are sewn in place , just like the Gas Mask Bag in the back.

The split cover pouch makes it easier to access the magazines one at a time.
