Carbon Fiber BDUs!?

Postby SleepyDave » Thu Mar 29, 2012 12:53 am

I'm going through a bunch of my old kit, and as part of a Market item, I'm cataloging my old sets of BDUs. I never noticed before, but one of my Woodland BDU blouses is marked as being made of 51% Nylon, 48% Cotton, and 1% Carbon Fiber. I've never heard of such a thing. Anyone have any ideas?

I have 2 sets of BDU's, and they both are 1% carbon fiber. Discovered it a few months ago. Cool/strange huh?

I think that some NBC suits have carbon, whether its woven fibers, or some kind of lining I don't know. Also fancy hunting cloths have carbon in them to "stop scent". Maybe the military wove carbon fiber into some uniforms back in the day to get something along these lines?
