Would CB work in the woods? That's the only color available... I run MultiCam and possibly Woodland occasionally.

Wow Strik3, you're a bleeding retard that can't comprehend the English language. If you actually read the sentence where it says "no fake gear", it's very, very clear that I was NOT telling him not to buy replica gear, or anything related to the original poster in any way. But I guess it's "dumbfuckingretarded" to think that the highest level of Milsim/Impressionism possible wouldn't have fake gear so what do I know.

The OP said he wants to do Milsim and use some pieces of replica gear because he is on a budget.

I offered a recommendation for a piece of quality, affordable equipment which is an exact replica of a piece of real gear that suits his needs and that I own and have experience with.

You retorted with an asinine, two-word response.

I ask you to elaborate and you say he can't use fake gear in milsim.

I argued that the JPC that I own is of high quality and meets his budgetary requirement, and that it could be used in a Milsim loadout because of its accurate representation of the real thing.

Then you said that you never told him that he needed to get a real one, which I find peculiar because of your earlier assertion that Milsim requires all "real" gear. The fact that the OP wants to SIMulate a MILlitary loadout would strongly suggest that your requirements are implied.

On the contrary, I seem to be interpreting English pretty goodly.

I'm done arguing with you and hijacking this thread. If you want to continue this discussion in a PM, then be my guest, I won't guarantee that I'll bother responding.

Wow. Hell, I'll even bold it for you since you missed it.

"Hardcore" as in, not what he's going for. But, I'm done replying as well.

Depends on the "Coyote Brown"

That word Coyote is thrown all over the place. There is Coyote Brown the Marines use, and there are lighter shades and variants, sometimes called Coyote Brown, sometimes called Coyote Tan, and sometimes just called Coyote.

Coyote Brown (Marine version) works in the woods alright. Better than Multicam, and not as good as woodland. It's made to be a "universal" color, since it was found to be in both high deserts and forests. It works decent in the desert too, though a tad too dark (or not pink enough, depending on the desert).

For Oregon, it works good. Especially if you play in the lush areas near Portland as well as the drier places as you head further South or East.

I don't usually care to argue this dumb stuff between either of you, but...

You're doing military simulation. If you're simulating the military, you can use replica gear. Just like you use replica weapons, and you use usually non-replica radios. Hell, you're probably not even using real/issued uniforms, though those are easier to get at a fair price.

Simulating the military isn't about having replica or real gear. It's about objective and military styled objectives, playing using military doctrine (which includes real or mid caps) and maintaining a professional attitude on the field until the mission is completed.

Who cares if you have an Emerson plate carrier? Crye are a bunch of dicks anyways. And they're bajillionaire mormons, so screw 'em.
