I really like the 240 for the fact that it is pretty much a full auto sniper rifle fed buy a 4000 round mag. I like the mk46 for it looks and that it is semi compact and light weight to the 240 (weight is not a huge thing to me). One thing I noticed watching some videos on the mk46 is that it makes a horrific sound when the mag is winding up.
If you read what I was saying I never said it was a sniper rifle. I was referring to the fact that it out ranges most field weapons and has a 590mm inner barrel. I do understand how to use one of these platforms and I am not a spray and pray type. So what if I’m not the most experienced gunner in the world, people like me who are willing to accept info from more experienced players such as yourself can only benefit from the time you have been in the role. I have used support weapons in the past and I enjoy being a base of fire gunner over running and gunning with my sr7.Pharaoh 6 wrote:1. "pretty much a full auto sniper rifle fed buy a 4000 round mag" - incorrect. It is not a sniper rifle.

Starting with the base of the gun, add a fusion engine, air rig, and an air tank and you're looking at about $1400-$1500 (and this is if you do all the tech work yourself; labor can start adding up if you have a professional install it correctly).
If you are interested in the automatic rifleman role, I recommend reading these pages to understand what you'd be doing out in the field & how you work with your fellow riflemen. Also, being an automatic rifleman isn't cheap; you're going through a lot of ammo and maintenance can be expensive (if you have a professional fix your gun) or time consuming (if you're doing the work yourself). Finally I recommend being in shape; a SAW/LMG is heavy & won't get any lighter as the day lingers on. I had to get my fat a$$ back in the gym so that I can keep up with my teammates when towing around my Mk.46.
If you know somebody that has a SAW/LMG I suggest asking if you can borrow/rent it for a skirm/game to really see how different it is to utilize over a standard rifle. If you're still interested in the automatic rifleman role but the weight/size of the gun is an issue, I'd heed STRIK3's advice & try out an RPK (or maybe an IAR). I really don't care if you get a Mk.46, M240B, RPK, or a minigun; I just want you to recognize that being an automatic rifleman is challenging & may not be what you expect before dropping your hard-earned cash on a gun.
