ICS "gear" lube??

I plan on getting this for my guns to lube hop-ups, clean barrel, yadda yadda yadda. I know it'd work for that, but I realized in the title it DOES say "gear" grease.

Can I use this to lube the gears in my gearbox??

first of all adding lubricant into the hopup will cause the bucking to loose friction and will render your hopup useless, and secondly the only thing that you need to clean a barrel is water, tissue, and your cleaning rod. nothing else.

and to answer your question, yes you can use it for your gearbox. if it says "gear" grease then it means its for gears only

I know it's hard to read black on white. Good thing we have low-contrast here!

Glad to know not reading the description on a simple bottle of Silicone lubricant gets you sarcastically bashed at by random people on a forum.

Why are airsofters on forums generally hostile while all the ones I know in real life so nice? If I asked someone the same question of Facebook all they would have said is "Yeah mate, it'd work just fine!".

Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty

We are not a community devoted to answering every little small question asked by anyone. One of the steps you should follow before posting is gathering all the information you can about your problem, then proceeding to posting if you still have an issue.

I have used the same exact grease in a gun of mine, and found that after a game the lube had dried up into brown/grey gunk. If I had not inspected it after the game I would probably not have a very healthy gearbox. I personally use it for lubing my Bar-10's cylinder for a cleaner bolt pull and lubing my gas guns. It's really just high viscosity silicone oil. I would suggest reading some of the AEG stickies if you want to get some good grease for your gearbox.
