Trigger not staying in properly?

So, I'm currently doing some maintenance on my G&P M4.

However, as I try and put my trigger in, it just seems to fly out. When I watch the Mechbox videos on how to disassemble and re-assemble the gearbox, he seemingly puts it in with ease and it doesn't fly out.

I'm using the original trigger, the original trigger contact box (If that's what it's called), and different wires. It was also originally wired to the front, and now it's wired to the back. I've adjusted the wires so it shouldn't be an issue.

Any ideas as to what to do or fix?

V2 triggers and trigger springs can be a phony pony to put back in. Just keep trying. You'll get it eventually.

Put some grease in the hole for the trigger. It helps sometimes.

Anyways, thanks for the advice. There was a bit of plastic that was preventing the trigger from gaining full contact with the trigger contact bit.

I use the plastic lever that stops the trigger on safe to keep the spring in. Pushing the selector to full auto will push the lever down to the lowest position.

Insert trigger/spring correctly
use a tiny flat head to push spring deeper/lower
move lever over spring

If it still won't stay in, put something heavy on the trigger. ie, a screw driver... Heavier if the trigger still pops out.

The G&P triggers tend to do that. They have extremely tight trigger springs.

You'll just have to get everything else aligned, put the trigger in, and hold it with one finger while you set the gearbox shell down on top of it.

If you can do a decent squid impression with your hands, you'll get it down. It's not broken, you're not doing it wrong, you just need more independent finger coordination.

Ive had problems with that with some guns ive taken apart for fun. Something was always wrong with the trigger
