Great gun for cqb. Has good enough range to almost be a field gun but I don't recommend using it for cqb. But it will work if that's all you have at the time. I would recommend a Magpull PTS MOE hand guard to fit a decent battery in it. Just so you know, if you chrono it right out of the box, it probably will read at about 380 fps. All you need to do is run 3000 to 5000 rounds through it to get it at 330 to 350 fps. Its clearly explained in the manual nd is called the break in period. If its your first kwa, just for your information, the motor has a lot more vibration and is louder than say a G&G motor. When I first got it, I thought it was a lemon, but it turns out that's just kwa motors. Overall great gun. Check out my review on it: http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F&gl=US
This is my rifle. There are many like it, but this one is mine. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me my rifle is useless. Without my rifle, I am useless.

The spring sounds like it's not the greatest if will settle 50 FPS just from breaking it in. It should be in the area of 20 FPS lower for most springs after it's broken in.

Thank you guys for the information. I hear lots of non-KWA owners say, "Oh, KWA sucks. Everyone who likes KWA has a bias opinion." Looks like I'll have to get a KWA CQR now. I'm gonna wait until the Mod 1 is out though. Thanks again, can't wait to be able to say that I own a KWA. :D

I might even get a new cylinder for it at some point so I can play field more efficiently. Seeing as how for FPS reduction, the cylinder is ported.

The cylinder is not ported for FPS reduction. The cylinder is ported to put the correct amount of air behind the BB.

Because it's a KWA I'm willing to bet that they have the correct cylinder, and gearbox all tidied up in terms of compression. I would suggest a stronger spring to increase your fps. Some might say get a tightbore barrel, but I would cut the crap, dive in, and fix the problem at the core. That way you can do extra things like regrease, correct AOE, check compression, etc. all in one sitting.

I have the Mod 2 and really enjoy it. It's my go-to gun. I play at PhoenixCo field in Klamath Falls where most of the shots are under 50yd. and most of mine are under 40yd. After break in, this gun has proved very accurate and is highly manueverable. It's an excellent assault gun, and I don't have to worry much about damage to the opponent. I sometimes worry about the lowish fps, but I can hit what I aim at most of the time, if the wind isn't bad. It's my third KWA gun and it's been as solid and reliable as my remarkable KWA G36c (only my ATP has been problematical). I sense my CQR going to last and that I can rely on KWA's competent service if needed.

Use 12 gram bb's to improve your fps. Camo Ammo is a good deal.

I have 2 of them,

Mod 2 with many mods, 6.01 Madbull barrel, DD 4" front RIS kit, Madbull blue bucking(great range increase)
Rear wiring, Cheetah mosfet .
This is my CQB gun to use at Oregon Arisoft Arena

Mod 1 Standard M4A1 length, also Magpull Moe front and rear, Madbull 6.01, blue bucking,
rear wiring, Cheetah mosfet.
This is my back-up field gun or a buddy gun.

Bought one for my father, very great gun for the price. I'm unsure about 380fps though, his gun shot very consistent around 312-314fps with .20g BBs, thought it would've shot higher. Though for CQB which is all he likes to play its a perfectly fine fps.
