new tightbore in... switch to heavy bbs?

Postby BOOMER » Sun Sep 16, 2012 9:53 pm

I have a kwa Sr-7. I just put in a 407mm tightrope 6.01 barrel. My hop up is turned all the way down, and bbs .25 bbs are still rising. Chronos at 400fps. Can I go to a .30 bb and turn my hop up up? Will I lose any of my current range?

Fix your hopup. Then of course go to the heaviest bbs you can afford.

A heavier bb won't help your range if your hopup is throwing the one's your using now all which way. ^ is right. fix hopup then re-assess the situation.

Gun is about 6 months old. My grouping is dead on. I don't feel there is anything wrong with the hop up. I forgot to add I have a madbull bucking in.

It is nice to have redic 'feelings', but obv your head took control when you started this thread. Save feelings for the girls and play airsoft with your brain.

My question is, did the original hop up work just fine? Why did you trade out the 2gx hop up?

I would use the KWA stock nub, the rubber spacer, my madbull blue in my old scar HAS TO use the stock nub with the madbull blue. The nub that it comes with is pretty built up. I had .30's in my scar until I played around with the Hop up.

Just try different combos of buckings and nubs. assuming that you have both nubs and both buckings.

The nubs are douchetastic when you lose them.

I'm just trying to get the most range out of my gun, I was told to put a madbull bucking in, I did and it helped. Then I put a longer barrel on and it really helped. I was just thinking heavier bbs with the hop up turned up might give me a little more punch.

A Madbull bucking and a Modify enhanced hop-up with a bravo steel tight-bore barrel would be the right path to take if you want to run a higher weight BB.
