Any opinions on this AEG? Considering purchasing one so I can go out and be mobile target practice for you seasoned guys lol.seriously though, is it dependable, accurate, worth the $100 price tag?

Are you sure you dont want the standard G36?
I held the G608 and its just weird.
Its like an M4 had a Baby with a G36 and the baby was retarded.
If its the same gearbox as the the standard JG G36 than it will be pretty durable for a beginner gun.

Go to Cross The Line Airsoft and see if you can hold one.
If they don't have it (reluctantly) go to Airsoft Outlet and hold one.

Thanks. I already ordered it, it should have been here tomorrow but some company who shall remain nameless dropped the ball on the shipping so now I have all my external mods showing up before the gun :( but they say its a v3 gearbox so mechbox upgrades are available.

As long as youre happy with it.
I know that for a beginner it seems that the jg G36 is rock solid.

Switchback........someone doesnt have to shop on a budget apparently.

I am mostly pleased with the appearance of the g36. Picked up an adjustable fore grip and a red/green dot sight for it, next is a few midcap mags so I can run some of the scenario games. But since I have learned of the upgrades that can be done to the mech box, I think I can build it into an angry little cqb. Gun.

I will probably end up buying a g&g raider at some point and build that as well. I have an image in my head of a RIS m4 with a m203 launcher and a beta magazine under the belly.
When in doubt, empty the mag.

G36c finaly here

Postby Reaver » Mon Sep 24, 2012 6:04 pm

Finaly got my g36c. Seems solid, however I have noticed two issues that need to be fixed. The first issue is the mag wont continue to feed pellets after 15-20 rounds requiring rewinding . Second issue the battery runs for about 3 mags or 4. So spare batteries are in order. The mag issue though, I am wondering if it may be defective, going to call air splat tomorrow.
When in doubt, empty the mag.

I have a JG g36c and I have the same problem with the 15-20 rounds before rewinding. Might have to switch to mid caps so solve this issue

I am contemplating the same thing. 4 midcaps or a auto winding drum. I am aware the c mags are loud but if I'm stuck in a fire fight I couldn't give a rats a$$ about being quiet. Me barking for reinforcements is going to be far louder than the motor winding.
When in doubt, empty the mag.

Keep in mind a lot of games restrict autofeeding mags to SAWs only. And if you play anything like me, I die well before I use all four of my AUG midcaps.

Excuse the necro...
Did a new battery fix the 3-4 mags problem, or did it just eat a new one up too?

JGs are TERRIBLE when it comes to shims and grease. You can make it a whole bunch better (shooting considerably faster and longer lasting batteries) by getting it shimmed and properly lubed. It's not too expensive and totally and completely worth it if you are looking for a CQC gun. Takes less than a couple hours if you do it yourself.

Yah factory battery is only good for about 3 mags. I have heard that I should do a dcoa on it, but since its starting to rain, and my work schedule changed with my promotion I am saving that until I have a pile of upgrade parts in front of me. If I'm going to tear it down I'm going to upgrade. Also, a magwell conversion is on the order so I can get midcaps easily.
When in doubt, empty the mag.

Sounds like you got this covered. :)
Good luck, and I hop you enjoy the G36 as much as I do.

By the way, if it has the 2-piece hop unit, there is a nice CNC upgrade that just came out for about $45. Worth looking into... That's where my mind is right now, so I thought I'd mention it.

I am sure I will. If I can change the cylinder head and cam on my car in the driveway or use a chain hoist and hand tools to do a clutch and flywheel on the same car I'm sure I can handle Modding my g36 lol.
When in doubt, empty the mag.
