Gas or Co2? Please help!

Postby brandon2365 » Mon Mar 04, 2013 8:46 am

Okay, here it is Gas or c02? I was just wondering from the preformance and money aspect from it. What would be the best choice, I know c02 doesn't have a lot of guns to chose from and Green/Propane has a whole load. I'm just looking for a side arm that I can use for CQB and fields that have 350fps and under. I'm not looking for a expensive shiny, look "this gun costs more that your life" one. I just need a good side arm for getting out of those sticky situations and close quarters for Oregon Airsoft Arena. And I was wondering what's cheaper? Because I can get a cheap $50 H&K c02 pistol and shoots an easy 330fps but I'm torn and need an expert to see what's better. And I don't need this gun sucks, buy this $500 pistol that I never use. Like I said, its just for really close quarters and sticky situations. I might run the pistol for a challenge. Thanks I'm just not sure yet. :doubt:

I have only ever been able to enjoy the use of one brand of gas blowback pistols and that brand is KWA. As far as gas blowback goes they are far superior. Not only are they extremely realistic but they nearly always function, (mines very old and still works flawlessly) Very easy to clean as takedown is exactly the same as its real steel counterpart. Sure you could get a WE but i heard their mags are awful. Of course i've also witnessed a caspian brand pistol being violently used as a hammer (head of the bit contacting the mag every time) and then it was loaded later that day and functioned fine.

Neither.

1. Buy a CYMA CM030 ($65 on Amazon)

2. Buy a small 7.4v LiPO pack (400mah or under). These are usually $5-6 on HobbyKing.

3. Convert the CYMA to use a LiPO.

4. Use it all year round

5. ??

6. Profit

You don't have to spend money on gas and it works in all seasons and temperatures. It doesn't have the range of a GG/CO2 pistol, but if you're concerned about range, you should be using your AEG anyway. Also, don't be concerned about breaking the pistol with a lipo. LiPO modded CYMA AEPs have been known to last for thousands upon thousands of rounds.

Depends if your wanting a gbb or not. Either one is going to be effected by temperature, but if you are looking for a cheap save your a$$ pistol, the H&K usp non gbb co2 isn't a bad way to go. Mags are about 16 each, and if needed you can upgrade the inner barrel later. Gbb is awesome, but remember efficiency, takes more gas to recoil, but you won't have a full auto feature either. And I happen to have a spare usp sitting here I may let go for cheap lol.
When in doubt, empty the mag.

That's what I was thinking, nothing fancy. Because I would be paying for it. I'm just thinking ill look at the Airsplat or AirsoftGi for extra mags. Like I said to the others I don't care for the $300 pistols when I can get one that does the same for half the cost. I think I'll just run Co2 unroll I can get into the whole gbb aspect of it, thanks.
