Just got my new Troy TRX Carbine, I'm loving this gun. Got myself an NC Star Red Dot for it too. The orange tip does bug me though.

I love the Rail Sytem, this thing is awesome, has a real nice feel to it.

if the flash hider is metal, get some adhesive/paint removal spray from lowes. and it should peel most of it off, and loosen the rest. Then just use a steel toothed brush to brush away the rest. Gives it a nice worn steel look to it.

Danner Gortex TFX Roughouts

$50 shipped off ebay, brand new. I think the guy is mad they went for so cheap, as he hasn't left me any feedback. hah. Only issue was is that they were a half size smaller than listed, but my feet must be shrinking as they fit fine with wool socks.

Also picked up some M81 gortex pants from Phoenix and a hand mic for my radio, but am too lazy to get a picture.
I'm sure I've had some other shit as well, but I can't remember.

Gearing up for the MSW Op. Lets see... more LM4 mags. Slimmer TT hydro carrier. Flip up sights. A beanie to replace the one I caught on fire. A bivie bag. New backpack (conderp). Rite in the rain pad. New e-tool (broke my last one at the Patrol Challenge). also other stuff that I didn't feel like cramming in for a photo.

few questions here.
did you make this setup?
can we get a side profile pic? id like to see how much preiferal vision might be blocked.
if you made it, how and what parts did you use?

looks great though.

No I didn't make it. I wish! http://www.mtekweaponsystems.com/supply ... duct_id=52

This is their "training/mil-sim" version so it is not ballistic grade.
The facemask has a quick disconnect system so it can be removed.
You can also adjust (which I have to do) how far away the guard sits from your face.
Adds a little weight but nothing crazy.

That's pretty silly looking. I'm not sure I want a face guard that's a foot from my face.

Each their own and all though...

Roger that. Like I said I still need to adjust the face mask.
Won't be for everyone. For example I can't stand the mesh face mask that sits on your face. Figured I'd share the solution I found that works for me while protecting my pretty grill!

New air rig. Its a redline firebase with 2x 36" Amped braided lines and a 3rd 24" line running to an ARX20 regulator and single 36" line. SO i can run 2 handguns @ 120psi, and a single rifle at 60-120psi. All off of one tank. And no it doesnt get in the way. superfluous?..maybe. But who cares.

So, I got this today.
Image

There's a fun story aboot this, so here it is.

Back in August, a local player was quitting. He had a package of gear for sale, mostly black tac gear and gun externals. Also included in the package was an Elite Force 1911 (CO2) with 3 mags. All in all, the package cost me $125.

Over the next few weeks, I sold most of the gear/ bits off but couldn't sell the 1911. By this point, I had covered my initial investment of $125 so anything I sold after that would be profit.

I decided to open up to trades in case I could get something better/in higher demand. I was contacted by Simeon Purvis about trading his USPc for it. Little shit tried scamming me and about 5 other people. I got the gun back after confronting him and contacting his mommy. He didn't bother repacking it so I got the gun back, but beat to shit. And he stole the cheapo little laser I had with it (not that big of a deal, but it's the principle of the thing).

After getting it back, I relisted it for sale/ trade. I was contacted by another party about wanting to trade his broken MP9 for the 1911. This trade went perfectly. The MP9 needed a new disconnecter and piston. I ordered and replaced these parts then began the process of selling the MP9 off.

I couldn't sell the MP9 and was contacted by a teammate about wanting to trade his A&K M249 for it. We traded and I decided to sell the SAW since I don't need another. I once again listed a gun for sale, this time being open to trades for boneyard LM4s. I thought it was a long shot, but what the hell, worth a shot right? 4 days after listing the SAW for sale, I was contacted by a player on AP from Minnesota. He was interested in trading his slightly boneyard LM4 w/3 mags for my SAW. Since he didn't have much for the way of feedback, he offered to ship first, let me check it out and then ship out my end if I was satisfied. Well I was, so I shipped the SAW out to him.

At the end of all this, I ended up with an LM4 that I practically paid nothing for ( yes there were shipping costs involved, but selling off the majority of the gear covered those as well. All in all, I'm about $10 out of pocket).

Did I do good?

Sorry (not really) about the double post.
