Apologies, again, to all those affected by my accidental (and, in the case of the door, stupid and avoidable) destructive rampage in that last 10 minutes.

I'll write up some more tomorrow, but for now, I'll just say this:

Awesome job on all sides. I started with nothing but a very, very basic idea of tactics and came away with the knowledge required to be an effective CQC operator, even if I'm not able to put it all to use in actual action (something which should come with time). The actors were great, didn't miss often (Their rounds found me twice, once in the wrist and once in the head) and the instructors were helpful and entertaining (it was nice meeting you all, I hope I made an impression).

Bed is calling, but I'll post up some more feedback tomorrow. Thanks to everyone who attended and put this on.

P.S.: I was the kid with the lack of gear and OD pants. :)

Documentary team, would you mind sending me the raw videos from the event? It would be very much appreciated if you can. I'm in Seattle and don't mind paying for a blank DVD and shipping. Thank you.

when admins says make weapond hot and red dots on, and you say "okay".....make sure you actually do it.<---you know who:smile:

I'll call myself out right now so everyone can laugh :)

It was a great learning experience especially since I have no "formal" CQB knowledge whatsoever.

I had a great time today, even if I did shazaam up a few times.

A: I was searching Nocte and missed a glock. Can't believe I did that.
A's Punishment-Sit-ups with a balaclava on, not fun when Stu is standing on your broken toe and Matt is all up in your face, But I need to get use to that.

B:Nocte Pushes Ron, He'd never done CQB before, I get to him, he pushes me, I grab Nic, (I'm hella pumped now) and was about to punch him, but realized "IT's airsoft, say control."
B's Punishment- Karma, I get capped downstairs in the trigger finger next run though.

I heard that the PD showed up on our last run, True?

Can't believe how well run this was. GREAT JOB!

I dunno why I couldn't shoot the actors.. I froze. I saw them without body armor and only with tac-glass as a protection, I just doubted to compromise their safety. I dunno... Maybe if I can't do that with airsoft, i can't do that with real bullets. Anyway, it's about mindset I guess. mindset.. and mindset... Gotta have a mindset that "I'm gonna kill somebody inside the hosue if he/she acts anything funny"

Thanks to everyone who attended. It is very gratifying to see that you guys were able to pull something from this weekend. That's all we were shooting for.

This was a coming out party of sorts for Black Sierra. I hope you had a good time because I had a blast. It was great to work with you guys, and I hope to see you all at CQC6.

With that said, we will probably be scheduling another mini-cqc in the next couple months. We'll start looking into a location soon.

If you want to set up private training sessions, we can do that too.

Thanks again guys. You all did great!

Ok, so, being as I am one of three that the cadre had the pleasure of seeing not once, not twice, but three times (beginning class, our team's class, and the intermediate/advanced class) I can certainly say that it was a huge learning experience.

When we ran the beginner's class yesterday, we were learning the basics of movement and flow within the upper floor. Getting everyone to that hall and making entry into the other two rooms (plus the bathroom). We weren't the most organized bunch to begin with, but we managed, and by the end of it, we were getting the hang of things. The actors even through in some curves, like nic hiding behind the couch, tweaking on over to one of our operators with a glock in the back of his pants.

Our team's experience was very much that, our team rocking it. We had a couple newer people on board that hadn't run CQC prior, so we all had our own hurdles to overcome, and our fair share of jumping jacks to do. We breached both the upstairs and downstairs, hitting from the front and back, over, and over, and over, and over (I could go on). However, even with all that experience running through that house, my thirst for CQC knowledge was not satisfied (or perhaps it's my masochistic nature), so we came back a few hours later for the advanced course.

The advanced course had it's own challenges, such as I am betting one of the first contacts to be made outside (backyard), and locked doors ;) We got yelled at, some more, and got to do more jumping jacks, after Bill lost one of his best friends down south.

Over all, I feel I have cheated the coordinators out of their time for the price paid, as the information and skills given were easily worth twice as much. Thanks to everyone that participated, especially the actors. Having to endure being groped and shot for two days with nothing but pizza as payment is definitely remarkable, and it really couldn't happen without you guys (and ladies). The cadre were awesome, Postman really hammered us, and made it real. You have to be held accountable, and short of people losing their lives or getting jail sentences, Matt really does that well. Bill was very much the balancing force there, he wasn't nice, he simply told us what we did well on, and what we needed work on, Matt made us eat dirt and jump.

Again, thank you all for your donation of time and energy that you put into setting up and running this event

Yup.. I'm the one who's not smiling at the end coz I had to go back to Seattle and couldn't attend the Sunday practice. I didn't plan on staying in Portland.. But damn, the Saturday event was like 5 seconds striptease and then passed away with me begging and craving for more.
Please... send me raw video so I can catch up with the other.. T-T
