I enjoyed myself thoroughly yesterday. I am a SORE old man today, boy. That field is TOUGH! THe engagement distances can go from max effective range, to in-your-face-crawling-through-the-jungle nastyness. Thanks to Cory I didn't dissapaear into the quicksand-but I did sink up to my knees and almost lost a boot.
Sk8erking...jesuschirst. Some of the best damn airsofting I have ever seen. You singlehandedly staunched the the advance of the combined NATO force. Then, you knew you had a good hide, so you stayed there. Killing. I made about a 1/2 mile flank hunting you, and zeroed in on you by following the sound of the people calling themselves out after you shot them. Even tho Maxximo was doing his damnedest to shoot me (TK-me because he thought I was firing at him and our team, when in fact I was providing grazing fire into the ferns to kill you) while I was hunting you, he planted a single sniper round on the receiver of my SCAR, and then fired 2 volleys of sidearm shots at me as I was closing on you. He made a tough job even harder. I'll bet you got at least 20 kills from that spot...good job. Even when you stood up (I was less than 5 feet away) I didn't know EXCATLY where you were. I had you pegged at being about 3 feet to your right.
Here's some shots for you guys:
Gearing up
The field. There are 5 men in full gear in this picture. I was rear security for the hump in and this is what I saw. Pictured are: Msawivel, Maxximo, Andrew, and 2 guys in MARPAT in front of them. You can walk right by people and never ever know it.
The only round I took all day, during the last firefight of the day. Compliments of TesticularCancer with Gary's SR-25. It made the sound of a crunching walnut shell when it hit. Great fuckin' shot, man.
