Great game, and I got lucky in the first round, sporting my first safety kills... ever. Thanks, KK ;)

The more we use that field the more I love it.

Compasses should be a rule, and we should all know what heading to follow to get out of there.

I enjoyed myself thoroughly yesterday. I am a SORE old man today, boy. That field is TOUGH! THe engagement distances can go from max effective range, to in-your-face-crawling-through-the-jungle nastyness. Thanks to Cory I didn't dissapaear into the quicksand-but I did sink up to my knees and almost lost a boot.

Sk8erking...jesuschirst. Some of the best damn airsofting I have ever seen. You singlehandedly staunched the the advance of the combined NATO force. Then, you knew you had a good hide, so you stayed there. Killing. I made about a 1/2 mile flank hunting you, and zeroed in on you by following the sound of the people calling themselves out after you shot them. Even tho Maxximo was doing his damnedest to shoot me (TK-me because he thought I was firing at him and our team, when in fact I was providing grazing fire into the ferns to kill you) while I was hunting you, he planted a single sniper round on the receiver of my SCAR, and then fired 2 volleys of sidearm shots at me as I was closing on you. He made a tough job even harder. I'll bet you got at least 20 kills from that spot...good job. Even when you stood up (I was less than 5 feet away) I didn't know EXCATLY where you were. I had you pegged at being about 3 feet to your right.

Here's some shots for you guys:

The field. There are 5 men in full gear in this picture. I was rear security for the hump in and this is what I saw. Pictured are: Msawivel, Maxximo, Andrew, and 2 guys in MARPAT in front of them. You can walk right by people and never ever know it.

The only round I took all day, during the last firefight of the day. Compliments of TesticularCancer with Gary's SR-25. It made the sound of a crunching walnut shell when it hit. Great fuckin' shot, man.
Please buy your gear from Rick Fisher; perhaps he can buy a Life.

Game was good times. Field is getting easier to play on now that I am learning about it more. Many thanks to the admins for continuing to put on good Vernonia games. It takes a lot of dedication to get up and put on just a red hat and resist the urge to shoot people. Mad respect.

I agree the more we use this field the more I like it as well. The fact that we are continuing to explore is exciting as well.

To Junto, all I can say is thank you for not shooting me. I'm slapping myself for not realizing that your sprawled a$$ was more than a corpse but totally respect the safety. So I see the orange box, rush the objective uphill, jump on this log and find Junto on the other side. As I am standing over him figuring out how I am going to step over him to get to the objective he says (pauses are long here):

"Hey...... KK...."
"Hey"
"So..... safety kill...."
".... Aww shit ... you're not dead at all are you...."

But I too must pay tribute to sk8erkingdsz for how he was gaffling everyone. Like that was one of the worst muggings I've seen on the airsoft field. I was fortunate to arrive at the scene where he was massacring everyone from the side so I could see what was going on. All I could see was there was this side of the hill that faced a big open area where we were crossing and every now and then a burst would come out of it and I couldn't place exactly where it was. It was only when I realized that these bursts were coming from the same general area and were always killing my doodz that I realized what was going on. Moved to neighboring hill, sat behind a stump and watched. Knuckles was standing at the top of the hill also trying to place his location. Meanwhile, as people would try and cross in the distance he would just kill them. Often with quick burst, never showing himself. Must have had a hell of a vantage. When I finally thought I knew where he was and moved to the bottom of his hill and looked up it wasn't long before a single shot rang out and smacked me right in the edge of the nostril. If it had been 1 cm to the side it would have went up my nostril. Like brain shot. Rang my bell. Thanks for making it a single by the way, I do appreciate that. No idea how many kills you got dude, but you earned em with persistence and dedication to your position. The worst was when I called for the medic and saw him start towards me boldly. I started to shout a warning that he was walking into a kill zone but realized that I was dead and had to watch and he too fell like many before and after him. Sorry if I contributed to the Max vs. Knuckles TK'ing. I was trying to guide Max to the enemy and I guess I did sort of point in Knuckles' direction as well and since I never even saw sk8erkingdsz until after he was dead I bet Max didn't know where I was pointing either.

Great games, see ya at the next one.
