Alright, now that I'm clean and fed, let me say good game. I didn't really have much hope for this coming in as uneven as the teams were. Before the game, the infected even did a poll: how cares about winning? 1 person raised their hand. We agreed that the best course of action would be to just prevent the other teams from winning. In the course of this action, we actually won... go figure. I had a great time running around by myself, harassing the other teams, setting ambushes, finding an objective all by my lonesome, and setting an ambush for a bunch of red players*. I had fun running through the village with my bolt action, and holding off the players in the orchard from advancing on our spawn. All in all, today was a pretty good day.
*Just a word of advice, if someone calls out RED, you should clarify as to whether that person is on red or not... instead of just assuming they are friendly. I never claimed to be RED, I just said the word with an interrogative tone to figure out what team I was shooting at to report to my CO. False sense of security leads to crazy ambushes.
Something I want to say:
I saw people on all sides who were calling hits for other people. This was addressed during the lunchtime briefing, yet I saw it even more during the second half. I was accused no less than 6 times for not calling my hits. I have no reason to NOT call my hits. No one does. 99.9% of the time, if you think you are hitting them, and they aren't calling it, then you aren't really hitting them. You might be hitting 10 feet in front of them, or zinging them right past their ear, but you aren't hitting them. If you are hitting them (and it is blatantly obvious like the 5 people I shot center mass from less then 20 feet with my sidearm today), and they aren't calling their hits, you have 2 options: shoot them till they call it, or find an admin. Telling someone to "bleeding TAKE YOUR HIT!" goes against the code of honor that we all try to follow during the course of an airsoft game. If I am hit, I will call it. If I am not hit, I will not call it. Please learn to see better, aim better, or be sneakier. I never once had to question if someone I shot was hit. They new it ever single time. By engaging at closer then your maximum range and using your sights, your percentages of actually hitting your target increase dramatically.[/rant]
Also, I would like to push for a 16+ age limit on games from now on. The can be a provision for sponsored persons under 16, but most of the issues I saw today came from the under 16 crowd. But this is a conversation for another time.

FIRE CLEANSES ALL!
