When it comes to barrel cylinder equation, you would be right, until you start changing the actual inner diameter of either barrel or cylinder, which then changes your equation. By dropping from the normal inner barrel diameter (depending on manufacturer of the gun, it can be anywhere from 6.05mm-6.18mm, in the various models I have measured over the years) down to something like a 6.01mm or even a 6.00mm, you can actually increase your barrel length for optimum performance. If you combine this with a cylinder that does not have an air inlet, or use a bore up cylinder set, you can actually increase things significantly, but it all boils down to actually sitting down and doing the math on the project you are working on.
