Building a SR25 DMR loadout/weapon system

Postby God » Tue May 29, 2012 9:09 am

I shall be receiving a CA SR25 URX w/ crane stock and 6 mags. Wondering what accessories it'll need to be a military style sniper's rifle. I already have a 3-9x40 scope and a harris bipod(RIS adapter on the way). Will I need anything more to complete the look?

No I will not change the stock to a full stock- This weapon system is being based off the M110 in accessories only. I will not be changing the already existing RIS, body, or stock.

Semi-only mod will be done ASAP. Shooting ~450fps, but needs to be chronoed to confirm.

Off-topic-ish. Do CA SR25s use standard AEG charging handles or CA's RS-style charging handle?

I believe it comes with the SR25 QD suppressor. I have fake shells of the PEQ15 I can throw on it.

Remember that not all games allow AEG's to shoot over 400fps. If this is going to be your only primary, I suggest only upgrading to 400fps.

I'm making it semi-only.

What Jester is saying is still true. Some games don't allow over 400 FPS, even if they're semi-auto only.

Then I guess I'll only be attending games that have adults only playing. Considering the national average for DMRs seems to be 450-500(some even 550 due to being considered sniper's rifles), shouldn't be too hard to find such games.

I don't know if you meant it, but you just offhandedly called the majority of the organizers on this website children. Think a little harder before you scoff at safety rules, please. There's a reason they're the way they are.

Well, my team's game's FPS is 475 DMR, Riddick uses AP rules (includes 475fps DMRs)...

That's the thing. "YOUR team's games", where YOUR team( including YOU) makes the DMR fps limits fit to YOUR liking.

Have you checked AP standards? By which Riddick links for his FPS rules?

IIRC, AP standards are 450 FPS w/ .20g. Hosts can use whatever the hell limits they want. Most lean towards 450 FPS, sometimes it's required by field insurance.
