Thanks man I guess I have to take into consideration that the spring that is by the firing hammer comes out quite easy, yet it is also expensive, I'm 16 and its hard to buy stuff when your mother doesn't like replicas hanging around, but I'll lurk on Craigslist for a used GBB or even on here. 160 is a lot of money for a 16 year old working minimum wagedos_Santos wrote:The Mark series are great and dependable. I have had the Mark IV since it was released and it has been a great sidearm. Rugged, dependable. There are a couple items that can be improved, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.
Thanks for responding, yes I heard that gas and cold don't mix to well. But I'm going to be playing indoor fields for now until I get decent gear and an apparent "maturity level". I'll just look for decent used pistols around Portland/Happy Valley area. Or save like a broke fag. ThanksPayback wrote:I had a MkIV, it's fit and finish are great. But it has several weak points. The slide catch broke twice, the mags are overly expensive, The cold weather gas consumption sucks, but in mild to warm weather it's great. I think it's a little over priced at around $160 new also.
there are several other KWA pistols i would rather have than the 1911 mk series. Not sure if it's due to the single stack mag or not, but the USP compact shot 100 times better than mine ever did. Even my KJW glock is better for gas consumption.
Thanks, yeah I'll have to look around I was thinking about with some sort of Glock or even a Sig but I'll check out the PP26'sAsh wrote:I like the KWA MK IV, I have not had any issues with it and use it as my primary sidearm.
However with that being said I am an adult and work full time so I can afford to have multiple extra mags. I would go with one of the KWA pistols that has double stack mags so you will get an average of 10 extra bbs per Mag and more gas. More bbs per mag means you will get more shots per mag.
I also like the KWA sig 226 (I know there are those that don’t on this forum), but you could also go with one of the HK pistols that KWA makes as well many members of my team own one and have not had any issues with them.
In the end I would go with what pistol you like the look and feel of, in my opinion you can’t go wrong with any of the KWA pistols.
